Old Town General Store with Cindy Mielock

Cindy uses purchased hand dyed fabrics and commercial  fabrics as well as recycled silks, wools and cottons and all kinds of threads in her original designs. While some of her art quilts include machine piecing, hand or machine applique and hand embroidery, her favorite technique is fusing. Fusing allows the use of many shapes and layers in the quilt without the concern for sewn seams. Her quilts are brightly colored and have various shapes quilted in the backgrounds.
