Great Lakes Art & Gifts
Great Lakes Art and Gifts is an artist-owned collaborative promoting the artistry of local artists who show creativity, craftsmanship, originality, and variety. In addition to their regular gallery featuring a wide range of juried items from wall art and mosaics, to woodworking, fiber art and soaps, on May 5 they will showcase the artwork of Nancy Kelly. Nancy will demonstrate her process for making a Junk Journal live at the event.
Nancy Kelly is a writer, knitter and crafter who loves all things paper. Creating one of a kind journals and giving new life to discarded elements brings her great joy. Junk Journals are her current passion and each one is created over much time with handpainted art on carefully curated bits of ephemera from all over the world. The recipient is encouraged to add to the journal with personalized notes, photos and memorabilia.
