Jessica Cowles

Jessica is a Lansing, Michigan native artist working primarily with acrylic paint. Her work is largely inspired by the colors and textures in the paint itself, and uses techniques designed to let the brush strokes "be themselves." Jessica loves color in all places in life, and blending them on canvas is her therapy. Her work has been characterized as "a hundred paintings in one," in reference to her use of several layers and textures resulting in smaller compositions within the whole. She works out of her home studio on the Eastside of Lansing, creating one-of-a-kind pieces with a colorful palette and the music up loud.
