Dennis Preston

Dennis is a Lansing based freelance illustrator and entertainer (caricaturist hired for private and corporate events). In the early 70s he was known mainly for designing concert posters throughout Michigan. Also at this time he was painting murals and designing newspaper ads and posters for shops inside Free Spirit ( a somewhat hippie department store in downtown Lansing).

He began teaching at Lansing Community College in 1977. During his 40 years there, Humorous Illustration (cartooning) was his specialty. He also offered a variety of workshops for adults and kids through the college. Dennis' artwork pops up occasionally on City Pulse covers and event t-shirts.
